Am I Sad?

Another fabulous friend of mine, and eternal provider of beer and entertainment, Linda, took me to the cinema last night :o)

Star the IMAX. No, you're not going mad, yes...I DID see Star Trek at the IMAX about a month ago.

And yes.....I'm still in love with Spock.

I Love Mr Spock (I don't think he's a doctor yet in that film and I'd like to make a distinction between the young Mr Spock and old Dr Spock....for reasons I'm sure you'll understand).

I do hope they make lots more films with this fab cast, it was almost just an introduction for them. However, I believe the limiting factor for the frequency and quantity of such films will be the tolerance of Mr Quinto for having his eyebrows shaved and hoiked up with magic tape or whatever it is they do.

I'm not sure I could cope for any length of time with titty-taped eyebrows.

I had a meeting at 10am that I'm sure the other party just forgot about. She's probably off somewhere, shopping for kumquats, instead of at the terribly urgent 'emergency' that I was told she was attending to.

My Oggers

Me this morning.

This post is going to be a short but disgusting love-in I'm afraid, get yer vom-bags ready.

My lovely Oggers has been caringly supporting me through a recent financial drought, and enabling me to maintain my aquired socialising-related alcohol dependency. She never seems to tire of throwing money at me for beer or pizza..........or cabs home after beer and pizza. I'd have told me to feck right off by now and found some financially solvent friends.

I'm going to treat my Oggers next month, I've already told her that she's staring down the barrel of a BOGOF Subway....with all the trimmings, Sproglet doesn't scrimp, oh no. I might stretch to a cookie for afters too :D

She's a lucky girl that one. I bet the anticipation is killing her.

Thank you for being fab and generous and gorgeous and all round lovely Oggers :o) And thank you for my pizza á la Domino last night! Love you long time xxx

I loves Italy I does

Hello All!

Have no fear for I have returned intact from SpaghettiLand, oh yes :o)
I had an absolutely wonderful time just wandering around Rome and Florence in the sunshine and seeing what there was to be seen. Florence in particular was beautiful, once the sun came out, and even when it was raining if I'm truthful.
While I was there I wrote a travel journal which I'll convert into some bloggage for you, so you can read about all my adventures, I'll do that separately and link to it for you, so you can choose whether to read it or not, for now, I'll give you a little taster with some of my favourite pics that I took while I was over there.
The Colosseum - Epic win

The statue of Victor Emanuele II, the first king of a united Italy

Looking into the Pantheon from the entrance

A view of St Peters Basilica from outside Castel San'Angelo

Speaks for itself, the Italian moped phenomenon!!

The view of Florence from Piazzale Michaelangelo

Eyeing up the goods on the Ponte Vecchio

Rain in Florence, a view from the Ponte Vecchio

Giardino de Boboli - part of the Pitti Palace

The ill conceived Torro Pendente

The Duomo of Florence Cathedral

Very short explanantions I know, I'll talk about what some of these places are in my longer blogs :o), enjoy xx

I'm embarking on the first leg of my journey to Italia in 5.5 hours time, the cab picking me up to go to East Croydon....woooo hoooooo!

I probably won't be around for a week unless I find an internet café I fancy popping into for a while, but I shall be back very soon with lots of fabby pictures for you all to enjoy.

Wish me luck in the land of pasta, gelato and food, food, food!

Much loves :o)
